ok so like what the fuck is this (again)
i dont care about either one of them and the "cliffhanger" at the end means nothing to me 
i read this purely for science to see what the booktok girlies see in him and quite frankly i dont see much please seek help if this is ur man
despite all of the questionable things in this entire book its somehow not the worst thing ive read (iykyk) but it still. wasnt very good. 

there is so much non-con in here like zade get it together this man has so many kinks that are doing a bit too much. after all this forcing himself on adeline because physically she wants it but mentally shes like get the fuck away from me hes somehow supposed to be redeemed bc hes a vigilante killing human traffickers

also why was there a random murder mystery in here it wasnt even that thrilling like she did the same thing jfkdndnksv adeline is stupid

I’m so concerned for my mental health because I really liked the idea of my own personal stalker that would fall instantly in love with me and convince me to fall in love with him. 

It would be my luck that I’d get the murdery type though. Disappointing.

This is a dark, dark, dark romance that involves non-consensual sex scenes between FMC and MMC, her stalker. Do not read if you are not in the right headspace or have any of the triggers mentioned. I don’t think anyone should read this unless their frontal lobe has developed.. maybe not even then. It’s especially heavy on child sex trafficking. These parts were hard to read through. Honestly idk how to feel about the non-con relationship. You know it’s obviously wrong but you find yourself rooting for the antagonist in the end, trying to find any sort of silver lining. It’s like I got Stockholm syndromed too. I generally liked the plot, and I’ll read the sequel since it ended on a cliffhanger, but I probably won’t reread due to the intense dark themes. I’ve read dark romances before and they’ve always come with a little fluff to balance out the spice and darkness. This didn’t really feel like a romance to me, it was all based on her fear. There’s dark romance, and then there’s this book. I’d say MMC leans further black on the morally gray scale. If you took the “romance” out of this, it would be more of a thriller/mystery, so it got stars for that bc I liked that part of the plot.
