Was mildly disappointed with this book. It's mainly a constant rate fantasy. I did like the mix of ghost story, murder mystery, romance the genre had to it.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS.
I hate this from the bottom of my heart. If you genuinely like this book the way the author wanted us to like the book, then I cannot have respect for you. Calling this romance is WRONG on SO many levels. Our girl Adeline is one of the dumbest and the most unrealistic female characters I've seen in a long time. What woman that is in the right state of mind would fall in love with a stalker who terrorised her for months and r*ped her multiple times? How can our stalker boy Zade save hundreds of innocent girls from being hurt in ANY way, and then at the end of the day hurt another innocent girl whom he knows nothing about??? I mean WHO does he thinks he is to just see a random girl on the street and just claim her like she is some kind of object? Kill men who TOUCH HER. Because who is he to control her life so much? Who dies he thinks he is to not let her have any saying in who she is going to be with. He killed a man because she took him home. Oh I'm sorry Zade, are you jealous that Archie didn't have to force himself onto her like you did, instead she actually wanted to sleep with him? I can’t with this book. It's so so so bad. I liked the beginning because it was so spooky, but then they started calling stalking and traumatising a girl romance. No thank you.
Eidt: Oh yeah, the one star is for the pretty cover.

The story is good but this really is a situation of rape. Both characters blatantly call it being forced and talk about no consent multiple times. Anyone trying to call this CNC really doesn't understand it.
There is mention that he wouldn't have done it if "her body wasn't singing for him" or whatever but I'm sorry some bodily reactions and functions happen despite the situation or trauma and that is just damaging. I really enjoyed the writing and story other than that and will probably finish the duet to see the ending. I will say I know he's morally grey and a freaking stalker so I wasn't really expecting him to act any differently than he does, it's the people glorifying his behavior I think that gets under my skin. If this had been actual CNC with verbal consent then it would have been a lot better for me lol

Lemme tell ya. I know I am not supposed to be this into a stalker romance, but boy oh boy was I.

Super exciting and enthralling read. I really loved reading this book and I absolutely flew through it. I have heard that the next book is a lot more serious and twisted than this one, but honestly… kinda looking forward to it. Definitely entered me into a love for the world of dark romance.

Plot:
It's fine. The child Trafficking subplot was not good. Personally would have given him more of a 'hit man for hire subplot' which would have been more enthralling. I felt like it was a real push. Murder mystery subplot was however pretty fun.

Character:
Solid. Probably liked the love interest more than I should have, but I definitely did. 10/10 smut between the two of them can't complain.

Would I Recommend:
With many many warning, but yes - yes I would and proudly.
