It's not stunning, but it is enjoyable, especially since I am already acquainted with the Frick collection. Not too sappy, not too deep, not too realistic, but still based on a real family and real art. A good read.

I love it when I learn new things from books. I had no idea that there were actually people who posed as models for statuary or about the Frick Museum. This is why I adore historical fiction. Fiona Davis is a master at her art. Recommend!

DID NOT FINISH: 48%

I didn’t enjoy the undercurrent of drawn out tension - waiting and waiting for the shoe to drop.     And parts just didn't feel  believable/plausible.
