This was such a page turning mystery about murder, secrets and betrayal that took place in the Frick mansion in 1919. I loved the main character, Lillian who was a infamous beauty and artist’s muse turned personal secretary to the daughter to the successful Mr. Frick. Many of her likeness were all around her in New York and even in the mansion where she loved and worked. The story splits its time between Miss Lily’s time at the Frick mansion as a personal secretary in 1919 and Veronica, a new model who is supposed to be modeling at the Frick mansion for a photo shoot in 1966. We go back and forth in time as we learn what happened to Lily while she learned the ropes of her new job and tried to hide her past as an infamous model and muse and we follow Veronica as she uncovers the secrets that Frick mansion has been hiding all these years. This was such an amazing story that had me glued to my seat for long reading sprints until I finished it. When I finished it I found myself wanting to read even more about the lives of Lily and her employer Miss Helen.
