๐ŸŽง I cannot say that this is my normal genre but I was scrolling through Libby looking for a super short and highly rated audiobook and this one met both of those standards! Plus I was immediately drawn to the cover because ๐Ÿ˜

๐Ÿ“š I would highly recommend this to any middle-grade reader but also to adults looking for a short, meaningful read!

What I loved
๐ŸŒธ the writing style
Iโ€™ve never read anything written in verse like this!
๐ŸŒธ short and quick chapters
I read this in under 3 hours
๐ŸŒธ diverse cast of characters
cognitively and ethnically
๐ŸŒธ dual POV
+ two different audiobook narrators
๐ŸŒธ characters written to act their ages
7th graders acting like 7th graders
๐ŸŒธ interesting look into Touretteโ€™s and the stigmas associated with it
๐ŸŒธ HEA

Why not 5 stars
๐Ÿš™ I wish Calli got a better apology from her mom
๐Ÿš™ the mom and other stupid adults
