Classic and important, but I did tire eventually of reading fighting scenes. I read this for a class, so take this entire review from someone who does not personally indulge in classics for fun.

Much of the physical conflict went over my head but the emotional content is truly paralysing. Homer would have loved storygraph <3

I love this book, it is forever imprinted on my heart! 

Notes on this translation in particular; this is an easy to read, heavily modernised translation with many annoying and hilarious americanisms within it. It would be jarring for a first read but works well for a speedy reread!
