Pretty zippy, and oh so funny with occasional bits of seriousness.

If I were to give this a content rating, I'd probably say PG-13 for violence and occasional innuendo. The violence is typically only described after the fact and not in extreme detail, but still possibly just a bit more than the average cozy mystery reader might expect.

I’ll write a longer review sometime later but wow. Wow wow wow. What an improvement from the first book. This continued to be just a fun old time but the mystery was a lot more interesting (as well as better put together) and the continuation on the side stories set up in the first novel we’re done such justice.

Endings always make me nervous but oh wow did Osman wrap everything up so perfectly. I’m invested in all of these characters even more so than I already was.

And the double meaning of the title… what a home run this was.

Not as strong as the first one (which is a feat anyway) but still the same cozy murder mystery and familiar vibe of the lovely main cast, who I definitely will want to visit again and again.

Loved this even more than the first book in the series. Fast read, couldn’t put it down. The 4 main characters are so fun and the supporting characters are great too. A fast, engaging, cozy mystery. Loved it!

If you loved the first one, the second one is possibly even better, tighter and more focused. A complete joy
