What a wonderful story; then I read the end. All I could say was, "..wait, no way. What the...?? No Way! That is it!??

..needless to say, the ending pissed me off.

The story is imaginative and an early YA Dystopian-type novel. It is straight, simple, and makes you question. I had a lot of questions and still do. I think any well-written story should leave you with questions. The bland lives of this community, and others like it was completely sickening, sad and just plain pathetic. When humanity decides that no decision should be left to the individual; not even LOVE, then how much humanity do we have left? When you cannot even enjoy the simple act of rain; snow on your tongue or joy, what do we become??

I am going to pick my mouth up off the floor and hope the next book gives me a few more answers...

This book had a great plot, and I really enjoyed the story and the messages it was trying to convey. However, I never really felt too attached to it. I'm sure this book would have rocked my world if I read it when I was the age it is aimed at.
