Max’s constant self deprecation and humor deflecting was hard to get through. Also, the synopsis of the book wasn’t accurate so if anyone were to read this book I’d recommend to go in blind.

I didn’t particularly love any of the characters. and the love interests didn’t have ANYYYY chemistry.

Talk about a slow burn lol. Every time I picked this up, I couldn’t put it down. I got worried this was going to end differently. Some of the conflict had too quick of a resolution but maybe I just wanted a little more drama. This was Sidney’s debut novel and I can’t wait to read more from him. I hope Max & Chasten’s story continues one day.

oof i didn't like this! max has to be one of my least favourite protagonists ever and now i don't wanna hear the phrase 'gay best friend' ever again. tbh i feel like the love interest being named chasten should have been my first red flag
