Great short story

Very nice short story. I loved the expansion of the wicked's tales, and love how open the ending left it for countless possibilities.

The ending fell flat. I didn’t really get the point.

This was another good one in the Faraway Collection. These are fairy tale retellings. This one has the evil step mothers from Snow White, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. They are misunderstood and form an interesting friendship. Jack and Jill was even included!

I liked the premises of this story, but the end left me disappointed and wanting for more.

Changing the evil in Disney Princess stories from black and white to a more subtle shade of grey has been popular for years now. (I blame [b:Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West|37442|Wicked The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years, #1)|Gregory Maguire|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1437733293l/37442._SY75_.jpg|1479280].). I liked this story and it was well written, but it did not feel new or fresh. (Again, I blame Wicked!)

This really deserves 4.5 stars. I felt like this was a very well done retelling in the short amount of pages it took up. I also really loved the ending - that Cinderella, Snow White, and Rapunzel all have teenage daughters who find them just as "wicked" as they found their own.
