I would’ve loved to be able to read this in the original language. I suspect the translation didn’t do this book any favours. 
While I loved the themes of the book and was intrigued by the overall perspective, the pacing and language just felt off and prevented my full enjoyment.

 A storyline and plot unlike any I’d ever read and learned from. It’s also the first book from Equatorial Guinea ever translated in english.
