Dirty Hookup is the second book in the Slayers Hockey series by the talented Mira Lyn Kelly. I've only recently discovered Mira (*hangs head in shame*) and I just have to say what an incredible writer she is. I'm a huge fan of hockey romances and Mira gives us all the things we want in a sports romance. Lust, humor, fun, sexiness and actual hockey! Quinn has always been a playboy, but he's not actually a bad guy. When he first sees George it's all stars and crazy thoughts about what a special moment it is until she opens her mouth and crushes his dreams. She really hates him. He's not one to back down from a challenge so he's going to work even harder to get George to see he's not the man she thinks he is. He has his work cut out for him! George hates him. But her body won't stop reacting to his. There's a pull she wants to deny, but she just can't. How is it possible to want someone so much when you can't stand them? Will Quinn be able to get through George's walls and find out why? Oh man! I loved this story! The sexiness, the push and the pull, the laughs! Quinn is so sweet and hot and sexy and George is hilarious and strong and independent. I love how she put her brothers in their place and is comfortable with who she is. Overall, I loved every word! I laughed a lot, shed a tear, got mad, got hot and bothered and smiled! Already looking forward to the next one!
Stupid eyes.
Stupid shoulders and muscles-everywhere body.
Stupid sandy blond hair standing up like some foolish girl had just had her hands in it for the last hour.
God, I hate him.
I hate how broad his shoulders are and how his mouth seems to be hooked in this perpetual half smile, like he’s always ready to laugh.
“God, I hate you,” she mutters, clear enough for me to hear, but probably not the rest of the table.
“You sure?” I ask, sitting back. “Because it kind of seems like you might like me. Just a little.”
But so we’re clear… this challenge? George, I’m coming for you. And sooner or later, you’re going like me. Just a little.”
Maybe it’s time I let the physical connection do some of the heavy lifting here. Instead of shutting that shit down because I’m trying to make sure she knows I’m interested in her and not just some dirty hookup.

Overall a cute story. George is a spit fire for a leading character, which can be a refreshing change!

This one was cute. Not as good as the first one (maybe because the trope was too similar). I typically don’t like second chance romance very much due to all the time lost but this one was sweet because he really did fall in love with her twice which is what made this story a four star read for me. Their chemistry was so apparent. Loved the hockey elements, of course and seeing some cameos of our favorite people from the first book.

3.8 another cozy story. I love Quinn he was so sweet. Patrick is a d*ck.
Once again, thank you for putting the audiobook on Spotify, it's perfect for me because I can go on with my chores while I listen to the book.
I'm REALLY excited about book 3 of this series.

I am living for these hockey players and Dirty Hookup hit me right in the feels.
George hates Quinn, but I don’t blame her. They have a past, but Quinn doesn’t remember.
Quinn knows he’s missing a part of him and he just knows George is that piece. He just has to get her to like him.
Not going to lie, I hope there’s a spin off series with George’s brothers. She comes from a massive family and I’d enjoy getting to know them more!

Quinn is the bad boy player of the hockey team and ends up meeting George in the hospital. Quinn thinks she is good looking and actively peruses her but does not realize that he actually met seven years prior. George is keeping the secret of them knowing each other and tries to keep her distance from Quinn to avoid having her heart broken by him again. Will they be able to overcome the past or will the secrets ruin their second chance at romance?
Dirty Hookup is the second book in the Slayers Hockey series and was told in the first-person dual point of view. This was my first Mira Lyn Kelly novel and all though I love hockey and second chance romance novels, her style of writing was not enjoyable for me.

Audiobook via Audible.
This was a good book. There’s a bit of crossover between the first book in the series and this one. It was a quick listen.
