Barnsligt, korkat, onödigt mycket ologiska grejer, men ändå rätt så underhållande.

“That's what makes heroes so special. You carry the hopes of humanity into the realm of the eternal.”
After the great adventure that was The Lighting Thief, I hardly expected to enjoy The Sea of Monsters even more. Boy was I wrong; the new quest along with Tyson’s character addition made for a wonderful continuation to this series.
Percy Jackson -along with Riordan’s other series- taught me a lot. When I first read these books, I knew virtually nothing about greek or roman mythology. It’s so great that a series accessible to young readers can relay a version of these myths while also being fun and inventive.
It’s no wonder Percy and the half-bloods have stuck in people’s hearts for years. The cast in The Sea of Monsters was already great, though I know we haven’t even touched the surface of Riordan’s characters yet. (The huge Heroes of Olympus cast has most of my favourites XD)
To me, Percy’s trek across the ocean was a lot more entertaining than his quest in book one. I was consistently invested in what would occur, and had a ton of fun reading. I can’t wait to re-read The Titan’s Curse up next, because Nico and the hunters will arrive!
3.5 I liked The Sea of Monsters but it was a VERY slow read for me and the book is less than 300 pages. I am exited to read the rest of the series because I like where everything seems to be going especially with what happened in the last 30 pages. However overall this wasn't a great read for me. Similar to the first book I enjoy the way Rick Riordan incorporates all of the Greek Myths and how Percy and Annabeth interact with them. The prophecy is really interesting and I am excited to see what happens in the rest of the series.
Can we talk about how much I dislike the cover of this book! My least favorite cover mostly because I hate orange and brown mixed together!

I actually liked this one better than the first one, lots of small pieces of the plot I had forgotten!
Such a fantastic follow up to The Lightning Thief!! Still keeps the humor and adds and expands on so many characters! I'm soo pumped to start the 3rd!
Percy Jackson got me in my feelings. Didn’t find the 3rd one yet but I have to finish this series
