I feel like whenever I think about this series, in my head The Sea of Monsters always falls short. Mostly because the first book has all the world building and the third has fun new characters and the 4th is getting closer to the end. My reread of this one was still super enjoyable, and I disagree with my previous conceptions of this book. I think it continues to set us up for the conclusion of the story line
