Not sure what it was about this one, but I didn't love it as much as the first 3. I guess I'm still in love with Wraith! I did feel sorry for Lore because of his past, the impossible situation he was in, his loneliness, and poor treatment by his brothers. But honestly, what did he expect? He did try to kill them!

Lore was really sweet with Idess and I did like her, just not as much as the other heroines in this series. Plus they seemed to get it on at the weirdest of times, perhaps it's just me but preparing to kill my brother wouldn't really be a turn on (granted it was necessary for the mission to succeed) and Idess preparing to face the wrath of the angels and thinking she's going to die, but screw me first please. lol, I know I'm nitpicking, it is PNR after all!

But all in all, I still love Demonica. And I really liked Sin and Con, so I'm looking forward to the next book!

I really enjoyed this book and Lore was yummy… I think he may be my fav Sem brother right after Eidolon (who will always be my #1). Loved his character! I don’t feel too close to Sin (his twin, and the only female Sem demon) even though her story was a big part of this book. I loved the heroine, Idess – she was strong and fierce, but had a very soft and caring side. The ending was wonderful and left me smiling when I closed the book! Always a good sign.

This is my absolute favorite Demonica novel by far! Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore this entire series and all of the brothers, but for some reason, I just really loved Lore and Idess' characters and their story. Lore had this soft spot in him that, although the other brothers had as well, I felt more. I'm not exactly sure why.

In this story Lore is hired as an assassin to kill Kenan. Lore, and his sister Sin, are bonded to a demon named Deth; and they are basically slaves to whatever he wants them to do. Mostly, it's killing. In this case, Lore is told that, by killing Kenan, he will have fulfilled his contract with Deth; and he will therefore set both Lore and his sister free of the bond. If he doesn't kill Kenan within the set time frame he is given, then Deth will kill Sin.

Idess is an angel who's job it is to protect Kenan as a Primori - a person who will be crucial to the world's fate in some way. So her and Lore meet when he is trying to kill Kenan and she is protecting him.

This whole scenario causes a huge rift in the brother's relationships because E believes there is a way to convince Lore not to kill Kenan and he doesn't want to hurt, or kill, his newly found brother. But for some reason, Shade is extremely agitated (especially when in the hospital) and wants to kill Lore in order to prevent Kenan from being killed.

Along the way, we also find out that Sin is Lore's twin sister and the only female Sem in the species (a "Smurfette" if you will). She accidentally starts a deadly plague among the wargs which seems to be the topic of the next book. She also meets up with a new character, Conall, who is a half vampire, half warg. He is delicious and hot and I can't wait to hear more about him in the next book.

So throughout the story, Lore and Idess fall in love along the way. But, as we all know with Larissa Ione, it is not that easy. There is always some crucial thing that is in the way between the hero and heroine having a happily ever after. Surprisingly, the issues that were keeping Lore and Idess apart were NOT as seemingly inescapable as the previous books. Although they did have some serious hurdles to get through, it wasn't anything like "I'll vanish from existence if I feel love for you" (Shade's book - #2) or "I'll will literally die if we have sex" (Wraith's book - #3).

Nonetheless, it was quite a ride and I loved every minute of it. The love scenes are pretty good and Lore is very sexy. He's definitely one of my favorite brother's now, surprisingly. At first I thought I wouldn't like him, but I very much do. However, I will say that Wraith is still my favorite brother because he is not only dark, sexy, a vampire, but he also has that sarcastic humor I love oh so much.

I also loved the humor and building relationship between Sin and her newly found brothers. I found it quite endearing and sweet. The brothers seem to be very protective of their newly found, and only, sister and it's very cute how she fights them back and throws their hard ass personalities right back at them.

Overall, I loved the book, loved Lore, loved Idess, and I think I could really see myself loving Sin and Con too. This series is truly becoming one of my favorites and I hope it goes on for awhile. I'll be reading the next one asap!

This book was so amazing. I did not expect much, and I got overwhelmed when I realized just how good this all turned out! I loved the suspense, the issues, and all the problems. If you don't love Lore, you will after this book! The twists in this book just kept coming and I loved every minute! This book went deeper into angels and the grim reaper and sadly Roag is back. But those things only made the book better! I could not put this book down! It was an amazing book, and it broke everyone up, and pulled them all together again. Only Ione could do something like that so smoothly or that well! This book left me craving the next, and that hasn't happened for a long time, Ione took this series one step further, and I don't know how it could get better, but looking back on how I thought that about every book from this series, I have no doubt the next will get better!

I put reading this book off for a really long time because I didn't want to get near the actual end of the series. The Demonica series is one of my absolute favorite series and thankfully, Ecstasy Unveiled didn't disappoint.

While I have to be honest and say that Lore is my least favorite main demon from the series so far, I really enjoyed reading his story and the way Ione set up the story for the last book. The writing is great, flowy and easy to read and I thoroughly enjoy every single story she writes, and this is no exception. The plot continues from what happened in the first three books, but it's not dragging on, nor is this book used to be able to squeeze a fifth book into the series. Yay! (although, admittedly, I wouldn't have mind another book in the series. Or two.)

The entire series reads like a charm and I absolutely love how the characters are portrayed. They are completely fleshed out and even though most of them are not human, they appear human in their behaviour. I absolutely love this series and I cannot wait to read Sin Undone!

Fourth in the Demonica erotic, dark urban-fantasy series set in a demon hospital underneath New York City and revolving around a family of demon brothers.

The Story
Lore has just found out about his brothers (Passion Unleashed ) and brought Kynan back to life for Gemma. And, shit, now his demon master is requiring that he kill Kynan as his 100th assassination. A marker that will set Lore and his sister, Sin, free. If Lore fails…Sin will lose her head, literally.

Unfortunately for Lore, a Memitim angel has been assigned to protect Kynan for his immortal life…or until he accomplishes the purpose Heaven sees for him.

The Characters
Lore bonded himself as a slave to a demon assassin master, Detharu, in exchange for Deth buying his sister, Sin, from out of slavery. When he achieves his 100th assassination job for his master, he will be set free. Lore and Sin are twins, which means they are both siblings to Eilodon, Shade, and Wraith.

Having been bought out of slavery, Sin is still bonded to Detharu as an assassin. A lifestyle which she enjoys very much.

Idess is a Memitim, an Earthbound angel, protecting Primori, humans who have an essential task to perform in their lifetime. She has been anxiously awaiting her turn to ascend to Heaven while secretly nursing a secret sin of her own…a betrayal of her brother, Rami, which prevented him from ascending to Heaven for an extra 200 years.

My Take
It's interesting to read the interactions between Idess and Lore. Idess may be an angel, but she sure acts more like a demon in her imprisonment of Lore. As well as her, ahem, forbidden passions.

Ione kept up a nice bit of passion throughout the story and I certainly never saw this ending coming! I regret very much that the next in the series, Sin Undone, signals the end of the series. I'll have to check out her other books because I have enjoyed Ione's sense of humor and her writing very much. A very unique perspective!

The Cover
The cover is consistent with previous covers in the series; it has a metallic purple tone over the nude torso of a nicely-muscled torso of a man with a gorgeous, scrolly tattoo covering his right arm up across his shoulder.

The title, Ecstasy Unveiled, is rather suggestive and so very true when the true joy of sex is unveiled for Idess.
