I think that of the books in this series so far, Grace might just be my favorite. She took the situation she was put into in hand and made the most of it. I really appreciated how she in a way brought Bram back to life through her words and actions. 

There is a high level of spice in this book, including BDSM so please be aware before picking it up. 

My only complaint, more of a personal preference to be honest, is the balance between consent and non-consent early in the book. I'm just not a fan of this trope typically. However, it does become clear very quickly that Grace wants to be there and to top that off, Bram would let her leave if she really didn't want to be there.

This book was pretty heavy at times. Bram constantly seems suicidal early in the book. He's lost his entire family and it's not enough that he blames himself, his whole kingdom seems to blame him. This leads to multiple comments relating to attempts to kill or harm himself. There are two incidents that could also be seen as suicide attempts:

In one incident Bram gives Grace a knife and tells her to go ahead and kill him, in another he pours gasoline on himself and has Grace throw lit matches at him even though he doesn't know for sure that he can survive it.

. All of Grace's family are also dead, and while those deaths are mentioned alongside those of Bram's family, none of these deaths happened within the events of this book, but the grief still plagues both of them. I also tagged rape, although again, it is consenting non-consent. While it is a fine line it does always stay on the more consenting side of the line. This consent becomes more and more clear throughout the book. Grace does discuss the fact that she feels trapped and unable to do anything from inside Bram's castle. There are also brief mentions of alcohol.
