Funkar bra som ljudbok. En fin hyllning till en fin film.

Chronicling the making of one of my favorite movies, this book is very reminiscent of The Princess Bride itself: charming, fun, lovely, and clever. The actual novel by William Goldman is also one of my favorite books, so the insight provided about his writing of it and how it eventually fell into Rob Reiner's hands as as a screenplay was fascinating. Not to mention all of the anecdotes from Cary Elwes and the various cast/crew were fantastic.

I found myself laughing out loud and welling up with tears all throughout the book. A very special book about a very special movie. A must-read for any fan of The Princess Bride.

For people who love watching movies with commentary from the actors.

I would recommend the audiobook to anyone who loves The Princess Bride. Cary Elwes' voice is so lovely. His mastery of so many different accents added A LOT to the story. I have never heard so many believable accents from one person. That said, I don't think I would have gotten as much from a print copy. There are blurbs from many of the actors from the film, read by them, which was delightful.

I went back and watched scenes that they discussed and will now enjoy the movie even more, knowing several funny backstories.

This is 5 stars for a memoir about the making of one of my favorite movies. I listened lovingly with warm, nostalgic feelings. I am not comparing it to life-changing literature. It is perfect. No notes.
