I honestly had a love hate relationship with this book, so that’s why I’m not rating it by the way. I loved the beginning and the writing felt really fresh, almost as if it was written like a comedy but about half way through it just got way too exhausting but then at the end I loved it again.
Also I loved rocky so much

This was a book I did not think I would enjoy. I’m not one for Sci-Fi but I decided to give it a chance. I could not put this book down. Weir’s writing was so well done. He made all the scientific bits so comprehensive, even for someone who knows just the basics about science.

I loved the connection Rocky and Grace made. We find out that back on Earth he starts off as somewhat of a coward and is forced to do this mission. On his trip he develops this bond with Rocky. Eventually he is put in the same situation, to save himself or Erid. This time he is selfless. It shows growth in his character and I loved that.
