This is a really interesting adaptation of Sleeping Beauty, I loved reading it.
I like Stephen Fry and I recognised some of the other voices too.
It's got the usual characters from the original Sleeping Beauty Story and then some new ones.
The music takes me back to watching the original on VHS when I was little and since.

Such a fun and immersive listen! The story is quite different than the standard one, but I loved it.

4.25 - The description states that this is 'Marty Ross’s reimagining of the famous fairy story draws on the worlds of folktale and the Brothers Grimm'. That said, this was my favorite adaptation/retelling of Sleeping Beauty as of yet. The short audiobook production was incredible and the adaptation worked, thus the 4.25⭐. I loved listening to the London Symphony Orchestra's interpretation of Tchaikovsky's ballet music alongside of story. I will definitely listen again and recommend it.

Cast and music are great, albeit sometimes it is a bit difficult to listen properly to some bits! However I found the retelling really weak and some parts (ie. the villain or the dish monster) didn't make any sense to me.

An audible original retelling of Sleeping Beauty. The audible is complete with a full cast as well as an orchestra. Which honestly, it gets just a little bit noisy for my personal tastes. As for the story itself, it is okay. Decent. Kind of fun. Changes the dynamics just a little bit. Overall, a quick and fun listen.

everyone in the cast did an amazing job. I especially loved the portrayal of Cara, the Maleficent archetype. the writing was beautiful but tended to drone on a bit. it felt as if the author was striving to sound as shakesperean as possible. all in all an entertaining audiobook.
