Six very different women travel to a Greek island for a hen party , to celebrate Lexi’s upcoming marriage. Each of the women have a secret to hide which are linked to each other that can have a deadly outcome when revealed.
One of the girls by Lucy Clarke is an enjoyable mix of a domestic and a psychological thriller. A fun , beach read !

An exotic bachelorette getaway on a Greek island sounds like the perfect escape. But fun quickly dissolves to terror as the girls realize not everyone is there to celebrate.
Lucy Clarke always writes some amazing Thrillers, and One of the Girls is no exception. The setting was perfect, I am always drawn to the remote/unfamiliar but lush and gorgeous island settings. There's something about clash between the beauty and the terror that the humans face that draws me in and Lucy does a brilliant job of describing both in amazing detail.
An additional complaint I normally have in books with a larger main cast is that the descriptions of the characters and their individual personalities seems to start to bleed together or become so bare that it is hard to distinguish them from one another. Lucy's attention to detail shines in her characters as they each have a unique voice and personality that doesn't leave you guessing at remembering who each character is.
While I did not really find twists to figure out, it did seem more like a psychological thriller to me which tends to be my favorite. I love the secrets and the true colors that began to surface of how the woman really felt as the time went on.
A quick and fun heart-pounding thriller to read this summer.

Now I will say this novel leans more toward the suspense side of the thriller genre as we know this ends in someone dead and there is little italic sections after some chapters teasing us with this fact as build-up.
There is six points of view in this, which can be a lot of characters and for some may be hard to keep track of who is who especially at the beginning. I had a love-hate relationship with this as none of the chapters were too long at a time because of it but there were moments I didn't like it nearly as much. All the characters had unique connections to each other and personalities. There's some perspectives I liked more than others.
The sense of suspense of what was even going on kept me on the edge of my seat because I had no idea who the victim was or what happened, and I desperately wanted to know what happened.
One thing I love is the author's use of her knowledge of Greece, it was easy to imagine a lot of the details provided and gave a great background for the setting of this Hen Weekend that ends in death.

I hate leaving neg reviews - but I went into this book with high expectations and was a major let down . It started off strong but got really really slow as the story progressed. It was predictable and one note. The ending last 15 pages were bit better but not memorable. Glad I read the e book n didn’t invest in hardcover.
