Very funny and fast-paced thriller with characters and plot twists that remind me of Carl Hiassen.

This is a fun read, an interesting central character, situation and plot, but somehow it doesn’t reach the heights it promises, the supporting characters need perhaps more colour and in a disappointing way it doesn’t make enough of the inherent humour of criminal activities taking part in a kids adventure park

🧠 My thoughts
It's a bit painful to give this book 3.5 stars. When I saw this book and read its description, I thought I would have given it at least 4 stars. The book started very promising. It was full of mystery and a bit humorous to read but fell flat from the middle of the book. I didn't know why it dragged so badly for me. Helsinki is a very familiar place to me, it's such a small city that every place mentioned in the book gave me nostalgia. Still, I dragged myself through the book.

I couldn't wait to read more about this nerdy main character, it was interesting for me to know more about him. If you read until the end of the book there was a chapter that included the sources the author used to research to build up the details for this book. This proved that the author did his research and he didn't write everything totally from his imagination. However, I was disappointed to see that the main character seemed to be too stereotypical, and from the middle until the end of the book, he lost his personality. I understood the point the author wanted to indicate there but he lost so much personality that I felt like it was not convincing for me anymore.

I felt like the book was pretty short and the author tried to focus on too many things so everything was not good enough.

πŸ‘ What I like
- The author did his research
- It was a bit funny to read

πŸ‘Ž What I don't like
- Weak plot
- The author tries to focus on too many things and everything is not good enough
- The main character's personality is not consistent

Isn't this book supposed to be mysterious and thrilling? I did feel the mystery and thrilling factors but then the romance kind of took over. There's nothing wrong about the romance, it was cute and nice to read but I think it was too much of this romance that the book kind of lost the main theme.
