I was a little worried that this book would be generic fantasy (which I don’t usually enjoy) when I first started reading it - a worry that was very quickly dispelled. Everything from the characters to the worldbuilding to the pacing is great about this book, and Sanderson absolutely deserves his reputation.

I swear I couldn’t give a fuck about any of these characters they just seem like a vessel for all the worldbuilding (I hold a grudge against high fantasy I really freaking tried guys)

Adding this to the list of books I should’ve started sooner.
I loved everything about this book. The world, the powers, the dialogue, the characters (looking at you Vin and Kelsier), the plot, the overall writing. I truly have no notes. And this is the first book I’ve read in a while that made me genuinely cry. Oh how I’ve missed a book that can pull so many emotions from me. I am now a huge fan of Brandon Sanderson. Well done sir!
