Incredible!!! One of my all time favorite book, usually I don’t go for sci fi or heists but there was just enough of both to make this a unique magical fantasy.

A really cool world with a really well paced story. Unfortunately, Sanderson misses the mark on character and insists on holding the reader's hand through every event by explicitly explaining it all.

I need to process this for a while.
This book has made me laugh, cry and scream sometimes all at once.
It is the second Brandon Sanderson book I have read, yet the first Cosmere novel.

I guess when I tell you, that I have not only read and annotated the book myself, but also studied the annotations of the author, it gives a general hint, how much this story means to me.

It is a story of dictatorship and oppression, which can be pretty depressing at times. But more importantly it is a story of friendship, healing and personal growth.
I felt a connection to several characters and can't wait to continue with the series and the entire Cosmere.

That being said, I am a little scared of the amount of books in the Cosmere.
Also I have realized that they aren't an easy read and it takes me a lot of time to get through one book, which slows my journey to my reading goals.

Oh my god?!

This has become my favorite book that I have read this year. At first, I was incredibly intimidated by the book, both because my copy is very tall and the text is super small (yes, I know that makes me childish but I don't care!!!) But, I am so happy to have finally read this book. The characters are diverse and lovable and the world building is rich with fascinating detail. This was one of the books where I couldn't stop thinking about it with each moment I wasn't reading.

Vin and Kelsier are top tier fantasy characters, and I was easily swooned by the both of them!!! I don't think I have a single complaint of this book, and I can't wait to get my hands on the whole series!
