a quick and enjoyable read, with an interesting premise and i didn’t guess the ending. however, miss marple is barely in it and just pops in now and then to insinuate that she’s very wise and knows everything already.

While the concept of Sleeping Murder is intriguing and the book enjoyable overall, it wasn't my favourite. I found it less polished than the other Christie's I've read, more obvious and being my first featuring Miss Marple, I was a bit gutted to see her in the background. Though, that's my bad for starting with this one. Miss Marple's character, however, did not disappoint! A little old lady, trotting around in the garden, tucking you in with tea and going about town solving murders by gossiping with everyone??? Yes please!

The premise is ridiculous and Marple does nothing but indicate she knows more than the young couple but doesn't share much. I liked the plucky couple, though.
