Gwenda and Giles recently married, moved into a home in Dilmouth. Gwenda soon though, has recollections of witnessing a murder 18 years earlier in that very house. Did her late father commit the murder? Was it one of Helen’s suitors? Family friend Marple comes into this novel a bit later to support them in the efforts to solve the crime. This is Marple’s last mystery. One thing that impacted my impression was partway through this novel I remembered that I had watched the TV adaptation a few years ago, so I knew the identity of the murderer quite early on. Another interesting mystery full of red herrings.

OK, not memorable.

Preporuke!

“I know a hundred ways of love, And each one makes the loved one rue,”

imagine your brother having a sis-con and being yandere, he rather kill you than letting you life with another guy

I loved this one! It was fun for Miss Marple to be more a part of the mystery and I loved our two main characters. The ending was satisfying but was one that I guessed well before the end (it doesn't happen often).

I liked the atmosphere that Christie created with this one. For the amateur sleuths, this is one of her easier mysteries to solve. Unfortunately, I think this mystery is too similar to
Nemesis, and I guessed the solution right away
.

This book was written in the 1940s, but was not published until the 1970s. For this reason, I would suggest reading Sleeping Murder as book #5 in the Miss Marple series, between Moving Finger and Murder is Announced. This will mean Nemesis is now the finale of the Miss Marple series, which makes the most sense.
