Absolutely amazing. This is what I want when someone tells me a book is “magical realism”.

Not a mother myself, but I found myself understanding completely while also wishing to never relate.

Horrific and feral. Absolutely loved it. Felt like a book ripped straight from my performance art classes in uni - and even referenced artists I studied! Feminist, artsy, and anti-MLM.

A rage-inducing metaphysical exploration of motherhood in a very readable literary novel with love for one’s child at its core. Certainly memorable (!) this was an excellent recommendation from a friend after I’d mentioned how much I enjoyed Mona Awad’s Bunny.

great glimpse at motherhood, but the obscurity of it is unappealing. it drags on and doesn’t quite reach a point that makes it interesting. frequently found myself bored
