A kind of fun, kind of magical, kind of scary take on motherhood. Not for everyone because it does get a bit weird, but I think it was a good introspective take for me even though I personally do not want to have kids. It gave me a better understanding of mother's and motherhood in a way that was different and kept me engaged. I'll need to ask my own mother about some of the topics that were touched on in here.
I think it's also a take or discussion on the "wild woman," what one is and how one becomes, which was interesting.

I'm not even sure what to write for this. This went into the weird and bizzare as I expected, but it flew too close to the sun, and I have no idea wtf actually happened. There's really no explanation for anything, and the story takes a turn in the last 20 pages. I finished this feeling completely unsatisfied, confused, and stressed.

The first two pages of this book cover half of the book's description, so a lot of the scenes are quite repetitive. We go through this story in the MC's head, so there isn't much dialogue or plot. This mainly feels like a character study, but it's one that has become quite familiar.

I found I had to push myself to keep reading in the beginning. It felt slow and dense, especially with no chapters to break it up. It did get better in the second half, but then the ending completely threw me off again.

I have seen this book compared to Bunny by Mona Awad, and I have to admit that I got Bunny vibes from it before I had seen those reviews. However, this book is very different from Bunny, and after finishing it I don't think I can make that comparison anymore. I also loved Bunny, while that's not the case with this one.

Overall this book just went too far into the deep end for me. There's a ton of metaphor and feminist commentary, but I can't get much out of it if I don't understand.
