Probably the least progressive to the entire Bone storyline so far, but it has some of the funniest lines/moments out of any of the books. I had a big dumb grin on my face the entire time I read this.

Another good story; however the escape/battle scene at the end was too long for my taste. (I should add that I'm not into battle epic battle scenes at all... watching the LOTR movies, I kept falling asleep during the loooong battle against the Uruk-Hai and later the Battle of Helm's Deep.)

I feel like this this book is mainly meant to set up a few things for the next books. I'm definitely curious to see what happens next!

Well, at least there's no Phoney Bone or Thorn.

This volume seemed to have less story than the others, somehow, but I appreciated that more, also somehow.

This one was a bit sadder and less comedic and filled with suspense like the previous books. While it did mention one (possibly) big crumb of information that makes me guess and want to know more, this one was mainly adventure to return the rat creature cub back home.

This book was centered around the message,"If you love something let it go" and I really feel for Smiley Bone and the cub! Especially at the end!

There was new characters introduced, and I'm really curious about the lions role to play, and I have a feeling that the rat creature cub's role isn't finished yet.

Excellent volume in the series. While it only focuses on two of the Bone cousins, we learn more about the Rat Creatures and what their plans are.
