This book gripped me right from the start and had me holding on for dear life lol. Cosby written a story that is quick, action-packed, tense, and STRESSFUL yet he explores really nuanced, uncomfortable topics. As a slightly squeamish person the violence sometimes felt a bit gratuitous and over the top, but there was a real cinematic, gritty quality to this thriller that made for such a visceral and effective reading experience.
I would have loved to see the sons’ story intertwined a bit more but overall thoroughly enjoyed this thriller.
