I liked the way this book was written and it was a real page turner… I really want to give this four stars but at times it was a bit cringey or too obvious…
Wow I dont even know where to begin with this one. It was such a touching journey.
Ike and Buddy Lee are the fathers of Isiah and Derek, 2 gay men who were married, had a daughter and got brutally murdered. Their daughter is now in the care of Ike and his wife. The fathers both grappled with accepting their sons as being gay so the relationship was unfortunately strained when they died. Now, they want to find out who killed their sons since the police are dragging their feet and when I say they will go to all ends I really mean it. There is some insane brutality which had me cringing at moments but all kept me on the edge of my seat. This story was such an emotional roller-coaster in the best ways possible.

The main characters, Ike & Buddy, Lee were so toxic together yet lovable. The southern banter was spellbinding & literally made me lol. The beginning was slow but it became captivating and I couldn’t put it down.
