Won this in a story graph giveaway.

I overall liked it but the parts with Sasha and Tommy felt a bit queer-baity to me. I didn't really understand why Monti loved Sasha but all the characters are flawed in their own ways and the exploration of their flaws are a main theme of the book. I wouldn't say they were likeable, but they were human.

I think the author has a lot of promise for any future works but maybe more care could be taken with LGBTQ+ identities and stuff.

The book was written fine. I just really didn't like the romance because it was very toxic.

This book was just okay. The dialogue was unrealistic and the prose wasn't excellent, but the storyline had enough to keep me reading. Even so, I wasn't surprised by any of the plot points.

I feel dumb for not identifying the culprit sooner but maybe that just means Marissa Harrison's writing was doing something right!! I loved all the short POVs to understand and develop each character and what they brought to the story. Very good mystery read with great character arcs.
