I don't know if it's the heteronormativity, or the fact that I've read this "I don't believe in love/until I fall in love, (this time with weddings!)" plot countless times, but either way I couldn't get into this one.

Literally so boring.

no chemistry between any of the characters and that pseudo-trauma at the end had me SCREAMING

This might be the very first Desen Book I've ever read with a positive parent/child relationship....
Louna is a cynic when it comes to love, for a couple reasons.... her mother a wedding planner, is a huge skeptic.... also Louna believes she already found and lost her one true love..... this was a book that as it unfolded made more sense to me, I had a hard time at first understanding how Louna could be so hung up on a boy she did not know for very long, but I think it was more the fantasy, the dream, then the boy himself..... there was some heavy subject matter in this book, and then there was the humor of the wedding planning, I thought it was a very good combination of both.... something however that I never really got behind in this book was the relationship between Louna and Ambrose, it just did not ring true to me, however I'd have to say this was one of the more real books by this author.....

i have a soft spot in my heart for sarah dessen... she's one of the first YA authors that I truly loved, and she has continued to write things that pull at my heartstrings for years. this was no different! I loved louna and ambrose and natalie and william and jilly.... they were all wonderful characters, and I just thought this was a bittersweet and lovely story. <3

Personal synopsis: Cynical girl meets optimistic boy and they fall in love. Basically every Sarah Dessen novel ever.

Louna had her chance at true love; it was brilliant, and perfect, and then it was gone. Despite working with her mother, and Will, the most sought after wedding planners in Lakeview; none of them truly believe in love anymore. When Ambrose comes into the picture for the summer, Louna has a decision to make about this boy who is un-phased by anything and annoying as all get out.

Another Dessen triumph. Beautiful, real, and raw. This book also touches on subjects that are important to discuss and I'm glad Sarah didn't shy away from them. The ease of reading Dessen is like a sunny day laid out before you.

Loved this. One of Dessen’s best!

Super fun and cute!

I loved this book and I so so want to give it five stars but Louna became very neurotic and made so many poor decisions toward the end. That being said, I did really enjoy this story
