This book was a wild ride. I'll be honest, I was scared to try out Sarah Dessen's books because of how hit or miss people found them. and the reviews were scaring me just a bit. However, the premise was too good to pass up. I mean come on, mention any thing about wedding planning and I'm in.
This story was absolutely heartbreaking. I figured out what happened fairly early on, but when you finally read it, it just breaks. You wouldn't think that the subject of school shooting and wedding planning go together, and you would be right. That was the tragedy of it all. Sarah did a phenomenal job of weaving together a story that can resonate with so many today with a sweet romance.

I'm sad to say that it's the same Dessen story that I've read in too many of her other books. Besides throwing a school shooting in the story I didn't feel that I was going to a different place other than reading the same tone that I've read in her other books.

I used to read Sarah Dessen’s books as a teen and figured it could be fun to revisit! The plot was predictable, but l hadn’t expected it to be over the top surprising as it is a YA! Fun read.
Well this was adorable and I really liked the characters and even if it's predictable I still smiled like an idiot, because that's what Sarah Dessen's books will do to you. I'm all for fluffy contemporaries like this one. <3
