We. Have. A. Bisexual. Protagonist. In. A. Shoujo. Romance.

I may finally rest in peace.

That might seem dramatic, but bisexual representation is pretty rare, and good bisexual representation's even rarer. So when I finished this volume and realized readers were FINALLY getting good bisexual representation, best believe I was stoked. Granted, this volume was solid all around. I love the cast so far, I love the drama/conflict, I love the art style, and I love the romance.

I don't really have any complaints, this was a lot of fun to read and I'm so fucking pumped to read more. If you're looking for a fun and funny rom-com with good representation, give this one a read.

I absolutely love the art. I watched the show for the manga first. It has one season, the same name, and a fantastic cast. I didn’t know there was a book until someone on Tiktok made a video about it. The manga feels precisely like the show; the main character Aoki has insane and funny reactions like the actor, Shunsuke Michieda, does for the character. Ida is calm but also exaggerates when he is serious. It’s light-hearted and a great read. Sadly, the first two books are the only ones in the English edition, but I don’t mind waiting as the third one is coming out later this year! The show is one of my favorite television shows because of its light-hearted characters— and ability to deal with serious topics like homophobia that some members of the LGBTQ+ still face today. I recommend the book to anyone looking for a light, silly book about friendship and love.
