Read all of them & fell absolutely in love! Such a sweet little romcom I needed </3 Aoki/Hashimoto being the lovable dumbasses and Ida/Aida carrying the braincells is the funniest thing ever… I love that kind of dynamic. Aoki is so me fr and I love having accurate Bi representation in manga like this! Too often in manga does the bi/pan representation become seen as a “weird thing” and very stereotypical, but It was very well done here and that made me super giddy! I love the whole friend group and how ridiculous they all are together <3 the chemistry between the characters is so cute and I literally cackled like a witch every page. It’s very hilarious, sweet and relatable!

This was such a great introduction to the series and characters! I loved following the twists and turns of the plot. It really was a rollercoaster, but I wonder where things will go from here!

I have major trust issues when it comes to BL and GL manga, because there's so much rubbish to wade through, but this?? Is genuinely good and funny?? Picked up the German translation of the first volume and it came with stickers (cute). Will definitely try to get my hands on the next volume once it's out.

It has been a LOOOOONG while since I got THIS giddy and kilig over a romance story! The giddy level I was in was “stomping my feet on my bed while clutching my chest and trying not to wake everyone in the house with my screeches” and I was floored by how much I really enjoyed reading it!

My Love Mix-Up was able to showcase a lot of tropes, one of which could be really annoying and could make a or break a book when not executed well (*cough cough* miscommunication trope) by making it uber fun to read! The characters are high schoolers so they can be pretty dense but in an adorable way 😭

This is pretty fast-paced (whose romance may seem “rushed”) and had a lot of coincidences and twists that are pretty typical of a romance story.

If you’re looking for a feel-good romance story, specifically BL/Yaoi, that has the following tropes, read this ASAP:

Love triangle/square???

Crossdressing (potentially gay) guy**

Miscommunication**

Pair of himbo (potentially gay or bisexual) and a funny, happy-go-lucky idiot (also potentially gay)**

School festival where all the romance and action happen**

On top of it all, this was so hilarious, like laugh-out-loud kind of funny. It was the right decision to pick this up on a Sunday when I was really dreading the upcoming work week. It really made me forget about my worries and is the very definition of escaping reality. It’s the kind of book that you’re meant to simply enjoy and not nitpick every flaw and detail. I love it so much and I highly recommend it!
