Another fantastic Cleric Chih story! I love how much these stories are about storytelling, and while the last one was about the storytelling of memory, this one is about how different cultures have different variations of well-known stories that favors their read -- though of course also this is a story about not getting eaten by tigers. Sharp-edged and queer and delightful.

SpoilerI feel like I missed something, some overtone, with the bull mammoth at the end -- like it seemed to have a Significance I wasn't quite placing. Any thoughts?

Liked it more than the first book for sure - there was a little more adventure in this one
