I thoroughly enjoyed this romance. While we didn't get to know too much about Hope, Lily's character was well developed and watching her grow and blossom was definitely satisfying. And the chemistry between the two was great.

All in all, I really liked the author's style and storytelling.

My only issue is that there were several words and phrases that were repeated way too often. I'm fully aware that most people don't have a problem with this and many won't even notice. But I do and my brain gets hung up on them so I get pulled out of the story. Still, I had a lovely time hanging out with Lily and recommend Listen to anyone who enjoys a sweet romance with a touch of angst and lots of music.

''I have touched a lot of beautiful things in my life, but you, Hope D'Marco, are by far the loveliest''

this was so soft, catch me sobbing after finishing it.

I think this is my favorite Kris Bryant book i've read so far, there's just something about novels that involve music that makes my heart go pitter patter. Can't wait to get to her other works, one of my goals this year is to read all the books she's published so far, and I'm slowly but surely getting there yay

It's a very heartwarming story. I started reading this right before I headed to a student symphony orchestra performance, thinking the novel would be a perfect prelude. And it was.
Full review to come.

This wasn’t a bad book, but I didn’t completely love it either.
I wanted to know more about Lily's life between her meltdown at 14 and her present day self. I wanted to know more about her parents, her grandparents who were apparently the only support system she had at the time. The therapist's role was completely pointless and didn't add anything to the plot. The fangirling and hiding the fact that Hope knew who Lily was right from the beginning felt a little off to me.
This book that had a lot more potential that unfortunately wasn't explored to the fullest.

4 stars. This was so sweet and the spice was top notch. I loved the writing and Lily and Hope were amazing together. I loved all their little dates that they went on and their chemistry was so good. Lily has really bad social anxiety so to watch her slowly start to open up and conquer her fears was extremely satisfying. I thoroughly enjoyed this and will definitely be picking up more by this author.

An honest review thanks to NetGalley. I really liked the originality of this read. Anxiety is a very real disorder that many people face and yet we don't see it a lot in pieces of literature. The romance between Lily and Hope was refreshing and sweet. This was an outstanding read by Kris Bryant that you will not regret picking up!

Loved the characters!

The character development is phenomenal in this book! Both characters are people you would enjoy being friends with.

It has a twist that I couldn’t see coming and that made the book even better.

Now I am off to buy the rest of this author’s books!
