"Most of all, loving you is realizing heaven is not a place, but a person. [--]
I love you, Chloe. And it's okay if you don't know what it means to be loved by someone, let alone to love someone else, because I promise to love you enough for the two of us, to love you every day to make up for everyone else who failed miserably."
– Santiago to Chloe

“I don’t want to see the world through rose-colored glasses. I want to see it with a wildflower heart like yours, desperately chasing after what makes me happy, wild, and free. And most of all, I want to chase after it with you.”
My little wildflowers, their story was so emotional and deep. Santiago (not Santi) is a lovely guy, he's self-conscious and thinks before he speaks. Noah was so much better in this book than in his own, he really put the effort into getting Santiago back in the game.
The only thing was that I was expecting this huge fake-dating trope, but in the end, it was less than 40% of the book. I didn't really connect with Chloe, so I felt disconnected sometimes in the pov, but that's okay because he was enough for the whole book.

i completely devoured this book, and loved the characters so so much. it was by far my favourite in the dirty air series, and i adored how chloe and santi we’re there for each other and helped to heal the other one. their relationship was so sweet and genuine and it had me smiling so much i must have looked like a crazy person. santi’s character and journey was so inspiring and i thought that it was really lovely how lauren asher added that level of representation to the series. chloe’s character was also so perfect and beautiful, and i only wanted the best things for her throughout the whole book. although i am very sad to end this series, all of the books have been such great reads, and the found family throughout it is pure excellence. so happy that i have read this!

i started this book ten hours ago, and yes i took breaks in between reading but its currently 1:15am and i’ve just finished the series and HOLY SHIT i wasnt prepared for this to be over. santi’s journey is such a fucking inspiring one, and honestly he’s a crazy admirable character. chloe was also such a strong woman i love her. the extended epilogue had me crying i can’t lie, it took me a while to compose myself to talk about it, but the found family in this book is like no other ive read and its a guarantee that i won’t stop thinking about these characters for a LONG time. thank you lauren asher, and roll on the dirty heirs series !!!!!
