Why did she have to make something bad happen to Santi to make him all troubled and grumpy?! I think it would have been super interesting and set this book apart if we could see the Santi from the first three books in this one and not have the onus on the girl to make him good again. (Which is basically what happened in different ways in the other books). It could have been a good opportunity to show a different male/female dynamic in the finale and to not make his disability his defining trait in the beginning of this book.

Saying that I did enjoy this book, I liked Chloe and what she brought to the story. I liked that the focus was solely on Chloe and Santi and there wasn't a lot of interaction with other people, unlike in the other books. Saying that it was nice to see a different side to Noah. I liked the character development and the acceptance of each other. I really liked the meet cute for these two as well and how it started in a unique way. Loved seeing more of Marko as well, he was adorable!

I found the whole 'Iron Man' concept a bit cringe, Santi was impressive as a person and personality already (granted it did take him time to get back to his former self and personality) and this comparison wasn't needed for me. I get what they were trying to do but it just didn't hit for me.

A good finale for the four books. It was nice to see Santi happy and settled, he deserved it and so did Chloe. They were really sweet to and for each other.

Tropes/Themes:
fake dating, one bed, spicy bet, redemption, healing from trauma, millionaire, disability rep, and a bit of found family

I liked this book more than I thought I would. And not because I didn't like the others (I obviously wouldn't have made it to book four if I hated them). They were 5☆, 4.25☆, and 5☆. And this is also a 5☆. It's pretty much underheard of for me to have three 5☆ in a series but I loved it.

I bought physical copies of them all before I even got to book three. I'm not usually a sports romance person but it's honestly one of my new favourite series. I haven't even started Dreamland Billionaires but it doesn't matter, Lauren Asher is now an instant buy author for me.

Onto the book though...like I said, I liked it more than I expected to. I feel like the last book in an interconnected standalone can often be the least favourite or least consequential person in the friend group but that was definitely not the case with Redeemed. Santiago and Chloe's story felt just as fleshed out, if not more so, as the other couples. I loved seeing the disability rep, both the negative and positive moments. The inclusion feels authentic and natural.

No spoilers of course but...I sobbed like a baby at the end of the book (in a good way). I've often been called overemotional but I think it was totally justified. All in all, if you're in a slump or just want a good cry, this'll be perfect for you.
