Allie and Dean are a match up I didn't really see coming but loved all the same. Their story was raw and full of a lot of grieving and overcoming pain. That's beautiful. Their story wasn't an easy one to read. At times, I wished I could punch some of the characters. But by the end, I was soooo proud of them all. They really came into their own!

If anyone is paying attention I am absolutely burning through this series! I am 100% entirely obsessed and this one is no different. Dean and Allie individually aren't my favorite people so far in the off-campus series, but wow do I love them together. This book has all the things I've grown accustomed to in Elle Kennedy's books: heart, humor, and lots and lots of steam!
Reread 11/11/21: Dean really is too ridiculous for words. I had a great time rereading this book and still enjoyed Dean and Allie as much as I did the first time. I am doing an out-of-order reread of this series, and, upon reread, it gives me strong "pick-me girl" energy, but I still have a great time in the Briar-U/Off-Campus universe!

This book was genuinely my favourite. I love Dean and I love Allie so much.
This book brought me to tears in the end but it was so good.
Elle Kennedy is a beautiful writer I can’t get enough of her books

Allie and Dean’s story ended up being my second favorite in the series so far, just behind Hannah and Garrett’s. I really enjoyed the secret relationship trope here — it added a playful tension while also giving both characters room to grow. The little bursts of drama throughout kept things interesting without feeling overdone.
The third-act breakup was definitely predictable (as it usually is in romances like this), but I appreciated the way the circumstances played out and how Dean’s actions afterward made sense for his character. Overall, it’s another fun, easy, and lighthearted read — exactly what I want out of this series.
