I bookmarked the original promo art for this book waaaay back in June ‘22 (https://x.com/dirtcup_art/status/1542369746598985730?s=46&t=EoU5E5aUl45m0hsY-IvwHA) because I saw it and thought “oh sick.” 
I was SEVERELY not disappointed. HA’s author bio (campy, queer, surreal, interested in the mundane and fantasy) are spot on for what you get. I thought this was very funny, and it packs a huge emotional punch too.

An exciting, funny, dirty, and moving piece of art. Well-written and witty, and illustrated and colored with all of the whimsy and flair of a Ghibli movie (with a lot more butts!) dipped in a bag of skittles. Trans love is invincible, especially self-love.

In my opinion, the content tags I’ve added are pretty run of the mill things that are to be expected in an adult graphic novel like this, especially when dealing with trans protagonists. Some of them present themselves in very minor ways and should not detract from your enjoyment of the story. A very minor content warning I would add would be there are (not heavily detailed) depictions / mentions of enemas but there’s not really a label here for that. It’s used as a means of cleansing in the convent and is supposed to give the reader a bit of a laugh with some accompanying dialogue. Readers may find it a bit yucky but it’s less graphic than… another piece of popular fiction on the internet involving an enema… so take that as you will.
