I enjoyed this book. Did exactly what it said to do and to be honest. I'm a true believer of prayer now. This prayer got me my job I now work in. Got me plugged into the ministry that I now serve in. I can't complain I am blessed and continue to being blessed :)

The book is based on a little known prayer found in the Old Testament. Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because she bore him in pain. And Jabez called out to God saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. (1 Chronicles 4:10). Basically the book breaks the verse down and explains what can happen in your life if you pray and believe

This quick and easy read is packed with power. It draws from the prayer Jabez prayed in 1 Chronicles 4:9 and can be boiled down to: Bless me, Enlarge my territory, Keep your hand with me, and Keep me from evil. I’ve heard many times about praying bigger and expecting God to work in big ways in your life. I’ve also heard satan attacks when we are doing Gods work. I’ve seen families break apart while pursuing these big things. And I’ve been fearful of that, not wanting to sacrifice my family in the name of ministry. This book really addressed those fears and gave me alot more confidence to step into the place I am meant to take for God’s glory.

Decent read. I appreciated its encouraging tone.

Really enjoyed this one. I read it with my Bible open and have never made so many notes on 2 little verses. Praying Jabez’s prayer each day is definitely something I’m going to start doing.
