I read this to see what the fuss was about at the time. I was pulled into it briefly and then realized how taking a verse like this out of context and writing an entire book --however small--was too much. I read this a while ago, but I'm not surprised that the hype died down so quickly. Definitely not a classic.
A unique twist on the concept of living a blessed life.
Just a non sense book that looks to show and guide people to a genie god or prosperity god with no meaningful relationship. In essence the author of this book is looking to make a little bit of money coming up with a principle of a one off story about a one off character in the bible! Shame on the author of this book to the truly genuine people of Christianity !!
This was an easy read but very insightful
I love that the author gave testimonies and evidences in his life and that of all he knew who prayed the Jabez prayer I got results.
It’s very practical too.

Great little book. I like the 30 day prayer plan at the end.
Read this with a friend as part of a two person book club. Not bad. I don't know if i'm ready at this season of my life for this book, but it was a good read none the less.
This could've just been a pamphlet with the prayer on it. Instead it was drawn out to try to half-heartedly show examples of when the prayer had worked in Wilkinson's life. In the end, the book is just saying to not be afraid to ask God for things. #abundancemindset

A courageous and almost shocking little book about asking God to give you more work to do for him and to expand the boundaries of your ministry. A lot of this I liked since this is not the way I normally think to pray, but some of it was more about getting numbers and such, which just reminds me of the mega-church mindset, as well as God responding to your every need like a genie. Reading this with a grain of salt, I thought it was somewhat beneficial.
Minor: Infidelity
Definitely a book I would read again and something that will leave an everlasting impact on my heart and life! If you didn't know I'm a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian and would recommend to all the world!!
