I still continue in my reading of the volumes of My Hero Academia and I must say that for these, I'm somewhat "disappointed" ?
In the sense that I don't read about characters that I necessarily want to read. But I also understand why it is on them that it's written etc.
I discover a certain character a little more, I know that a lot of people like her a lot, but I must admit that once again, I'm not a big fan.
And my opinion does not change on the others, so we will see what the rest will give !

Inject this series into my veins.

We pick up in volume 20 with a fight between Deku, Gentle and La Brava. So La Brava's quirk is Love. If she says the word love, it gives whoever she loves a boost in power, and the deeper she cares for them, the more power they receive. That is a wickedly weird and yet super awesome quirk. I love the creativity. "The Power of Love!" I see what you did there Horikoshi.

They realize Miroriya isn't back yet and Hound Dog goes out looking with some Ectoplasm clones. The fact that the sentence I just wrote is legitimate is all the reason one needs to read My Hero Academia to be honest. Anyway Gentle and Deku have a giant fight, basically all about doing what they do and putting their all into things in order to protect a little girl they care about; Eri for Deku and La Brava for Gentle. Gentle uses his elasticity quirk to send Deku away so he won't get in trouble for being off school grounds, and surrenders himself and La Brava to the authorities to keep her safe and with him.

While Deku is off battling Gentle and La Brava, the UA School Festival begins! Class 1A waits til Deku arrives and then puts on the most insane, over the top performance possible. My favorite frame was Dark Shadow holding cymbals. God I love this shit. Erie SMILES! Class 1B does a Harry Potter/Star Wars/Lord of the Rings crossover play. This is a real issue and not fanfiction. God bless us, everyone.

Eri moves into UA! Aizawa is her (sorta) adopted dad! My heart grows with every page! There's new top Hero rankings now that All Might is out of the running and we all knew Endeavor would be number 1, but give me more of that Hawks guy. Why is he hot? I don't know but he is! His whole back and forth with Endeavor was super interesting to me, even though there is no way in hell I am going to become an Endeavor fan, but I appreciate Horikoshi trying to give us some back story and clarity to his character. He and Hawks take on a giant fucked up Nomu and it's ridiculous. It ended on a bit of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next, aka if we get more Hawks action because he is bae.

I give this 5 stars purely for Hawks.

I think Horikoshi does a really good job in showing the progress Deku has made with his abilities since volume 1 in this volume.

I also really loved the full-page of Jirou rocking out.
