A bit outdated but inspiring nonetheless
Worth it for the amount of times I had to rewind and listen to what she said again. I also like that her method is always to turn you back toward yourself rather than an external voice or method in order to move past the blocks and insecurities we all have as creatives

what if the real tragedy is that i do have this talent and i never figure it out
deprivation from other sources will be overwhelmed with the desire to create
3 pages in the morning
it doesn’t go away: at 60 you will also want to be an artist
stuck in the past and move in the present
everyone’s first piece sucks you have to work not born talented
i didn’t like the money thing that much you will find

I haven't yet finished the full text of the Artist's Way, but in preparation for my return to that great work, I listened to this reflection.
I love hearing creatives talk about creation. But more than that, I love when they invite others in. Creation isn't exclusive, it is inclusive. There is room at the table for all of us. How lovely it is to partake from this table, to participate in this conversation.

This is a great introduction to The Artist's Way, especially if you've been thinking about doing the whole program for a while and want to learn enough to make the decision. It's quick, engaging, and since you get to hear Julia's own voice as she explains the concepts in her program, it's really a great representation of what you'll get in The Artist's Way.

Low three stars, some of this is very outdated it did air in the 90’s. The heart of the information is useful though.
