This book was terrible. The worst. I can not believe that people thought it was a good idea to publish this book. The whole concept was icky.

I'm not really sure what I was expecting from this book but I can tell you didn't get it. I have all of Emily Giffins books and this is one of least favorites if not the worst. I really just could not stand the main character and her storyline did nothing for me I couldn't wait to finish the book but I was disappointed with the ending. I was annoyed that she made Ryan into a bad guy I was really rooting for that relationship because Shea and Coachs was just horrible and disgusted me

How did I manage to sleep on this author? This book was fantastic! The writing was well thought out and it kept moving at a steady pace. Everything was wrapped up at the end but not hurriedly. She took her time and watched the puzzle pieces come together.

I will be reading more from this author!

What in God’s name did I just read? Looking past the obnoxious “not like other girls storyline”, I kept reading because I kept wanting it to get better. I kept hoping that Emily Gifffin wouldn’t take this book where it seemed to be heading. Oh she did though! I need to shower. What a waste of 429 pages.

This book is so cringe worthy. From a couple of chapters in you could see that the daddy issues would lead the football obsessed main character into the arms of her best friend’s recently widowed dad. I’m trying to finish it because I hate leaving books, but the extremely awkward relationship is about to be consummated and I don’t think I have the stomach for how this is running down the drain.

I checked out the audio book because I had listened to First Comes Love by the same author. I was not impressed. Major ick factor and the ending just made it worse. Would not recommend; I only finished it because I hate leaving a book unfinished.

Maybe I'm just a sucker, but I really did love this book. It was very emotional and I enjoyed how the author incorporated real emotions in all the relationships that she developed throughout the story. Or maybe this is just a consequence of my "sap meter" being a little off because I cried through the Nicholas Sparks movie "The Best of Me" last night, and I'm a 26 year old woman who just hasn't been in love in a while. Either way, it's a quick read and a solid story, and that's really all I needed today.
