3.5 stars. This was a good, light Halloween read aloud for my 7 and 9 year olds. It’s fun and not scary. It’s a bit of a repetitive plot, but the kids liked it.

The Herdmans are back! This book isn't as good as Best Christmas Pageant Ever but it is good. You will encounter the same characters and the same shenanigans.

My least favorite of the three - I hadn’t ever read this one and it’s October so I figured it was a good time. So I reread the first two and it’s definitely not as good, especially when read in quick succession like I did. The Herdmans are barely in it!
