My biggest problem with the first book was the unnecessary sexual assault/rape that was thrown into the plot for "realism" I assume. But WHO NEEDS REALISM IN ZOMBIE STORY?
Anyway, in the first book those scenes at least impacted the plot in some way (though the book could still achieve the same outcome without them). In this book they felt forced in a "look how cruel this word is *sad face*" way.
Until that point my thoughts while reading were "well, this is a little boring" then slap in my face: RAPE. Why? Just why? Using sexual assault for shock value is really low and in my opinion a proof of poor writing skills. If you can't write about it in a well thought, compassionate way THEN DON'T WRITE ABOUT IT AT ALL. YOUR BOOK DOESN'T NEED IT.
A random dude grabbing the main characters boob also wasn't needed.
But what about the rest of the plot? - you ask. Well, it went like that:
1. Oh no zombies so many
2. Lets hide
3. One character does something stupid
4. Someone insignificant dies
5. Main character in danger!
6. Main character used: plot armor, someone else dies
7. Repeat 1-6 until there's 50 pages left
There were also some editing errors. Some sentences were literally copied and pasted.

I hate this book.
