The secrets we keep always come back to haunt us. 

Absolutely heartbreaking. This book had me so stressed I struggled not to spoil it for myself and read the last few pages to see what happens. I made it through and it was worth it. Unfortunately the signs were all there and the ending was rough.

Prefacing this with how much I have loved SA Cosby's other books. This one was the hardest to read, the violence and the lead character, Roman, made it very difficult to get through. The ending was done really well even if I disliked it and there was a ton foreshadowing to it. There are mentions of past charectars from his books but they feel very shoe horned in and have no actual relevance to the story. This book felt hastily put together and was trying to have a deeper meaning but didn't get there for me.
