I really liked this book. It’s unusual and haven’t read a story like this before. It’s not for the faint of heart since it’s very descriptive about some horrible things. The story had a few good plot points I didn’t expect, even the ending was something I hadn’t expected. I liked reading from all 3 perspectives, even if I didn’t understand the slang sometimes.

The characters felt incredibly real and although the story was dark and intense, it felt realistic.   I found the writing style refreshing and the way it is written and set out made me not want to put the book down!

I enjoyed that there were normalised LGBT characters, with flaws and all, and even other characters reactions to these LGBT characters was realistic (which unfortunately does include hatred)

I couldn't put this book down! it was gritty, down-to-Earth, and full of surprising moments of humor and beauty. I loved each narrative character for their entirely different voices and perspectives. This is a book for people who appreciate an honest, up-close look at the lives of two teenagers raised in poverty and neglect, who are determined to take care of themselves and make their own futures.
